Make Your Own Birthday Cakes
A great way to save money is making your own themed birthday cakes! I’m participating in the
Ultimate Recipe Swap Birthday Cake Roundup at Life As Mom.
After viewing the cakes there, I am so inspired!

A castle cake I made for our 11-year-old girly-girl.

First time I made a princess cake. The skirt was baked in a glass 8-cup liquid measuring cup.

You can guess the theme of this party...

Our herpetologist LOVED his rattlesnake cake!

The rattlesnake cake.

I didn't make this one, but just had to show it off. It was a gift for my daughter's 14th birthday party. The swords are made from rice crispy bars!

The 17-year-old young man who made this is hoping to start his own cake decorating business... I think he'll do well!
Let’s see, for the rest of the year, we have birthdays coming up in August, September, October, and 3 in November… I should get a lot of practice!
